Launching in Melbourne on 3 July, Smithsonian Starstruck: An Immersive Experience is the first fully interactive virtual reality experience of its kind, placing visitors at the centre of an extraordinary journey through space.

The adventure begins at the Smithsonian's Whipple Observatory before launching guests aboard the world's most powerful telescopes to explore galaxies, stars, planets and some of the universe's most spectacular phenomena.

Developed in close collaboration with the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, Starstruck transforms real astronomical data and imagery into a breathtaking experience that combines immersive technology with authentic science and cinematic storytelling.

Visitors will travel through the cosmos, witnessing distant galaxies, powerful stellar explosions and the immense forces surrounding a supermassive black hole, all while gaining a deeper understanding of our universe.
