National Gallery of Victoria | NGV International is one of 3 Victorian public art galleries within one magnificent arts precinct on St Kilda Road.

Over the last 150 years the National Gallery of Victoria has established one of the world's finest art collections. Since the NGV opened in St Kilda Road in 1968, the total collection has doubled in size to more than 60,000 works of art.

With Australian art moving to The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia in Federation Square and the transformation of NGV International on St Kilda Road, housing for collections and exhibition space will double in size. At last, we will see and enjoy, in two magnificent settings, the art treasures which belong to us all.

Spaces

The Great Hall is a large capacity function area famous for its stunning stained glass ceiling by Leonard French. The perfect backdrop for a memorable gala dinner, grand wedding receptions or large scale cocktail events.

Federation Court with its glass ceiling, is a contemporary space suitable for cocktail functions for up to 500 or may be used as a pre-dinner area for functions in the Great Hall.

Garden Restaurant overlooks the sculpture and elegant landscaping of the Grollo Equiset Garden. With dramatic windows on three sides and bathed in natural light, the restaurant setting is relaxed and elegant. For the Summer months, enjoy a view of the NGV Architecture Commission.

Clemenger BBDO Auditorium seminars, symposium, guest lecture and film screenings. Enter through the North entrance, via Arts Centre Melbourne forecourt.
