From "Carnival" to "Carnival II" - Continuing Jay Chou's Musical Era
The King of Mandopop, Jay Chou since his debut in 2000, has pioneered a new era in the Chinese music scene with his distinctive unique musical style, bringing us his unforgettable music. The theme name of the last concert was "Carnival", symbolizing the joy and emotions brought by music, like a grand celebration; it not only demonstrates his passion for music, but also carries the precious and wonderful memories that he and the fans have created together. With "Carnival II", that legacy continues, extending the spirit of celebration into a new chapter of his enduring musical era. Marking the 25th anniversary of his debut, Jay Chou continues to raise the bar, pushing creative boundaries while pursuing excellence in both music and stage production. Renowned for delivering exceptional live performances, he remains dedicated to creating unforgettable moments that resonate deeply with fans across generations.
Retaining the iconic "Carnival" name, the new tour, "Carnival II", ushers in a bold new chapter - extending Jay Chou's musical era with a reimagined concept, elevated production, and an entirely renewed grand carnival experience.
Jay Chou is breaking new ground by revolutionizing the concert experience with his "One City, One Theme" concept, giving each tour stop a unique identity, an unforgettable experience, and an intimate connection with fans, while opening an exciting new chapter in his legendary career. Australia's tour cities debut as "Pink Melbourne" and "Ocean Sydney" inspired by Jay Chou's song "Pink Ocean" from the album Greatest Works of Art. The track, written by Vincent Fang and composed by Jay Chou, evokes romance, freedom, and the courage to chase one's dreams. The music video was filmed at the breathtaking Hutt Lagoon as well as Rottnest Island, capturing the unique charm of Western Australia. The dreamlike vision of the pink lake inspires a romantic melody that resonates deep within the heart. As music meets landscape, the melody seems to come alive within its surroundings - transforming sound into a vivid, living picture and adding even greater meaning to the Australian leg of the tour.
