Visit Fire Services Museum (Cnr. Gisborne Street and Victoria Parade), East Melbourne
The Museum includes a collection of over 10,000 fire related items collected both nationally and internationally and including Country Fire Authority, Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade and Fire Rescue Victoria fire appliances, personnel histories, memorabilia and associated items.
The Fire Services Museum of Victoria's purpose and main aim is to collect, preserve, display and interpret items pertaining to the history, concept of fire fighting and fire safety in Victoria.
Located in the former Headquarters Station of the Melbourne Metropolitan Fire Brigade in East Melbourne, the award winning Fire Services Museum Victoria, was opened in 1979 to provide a home and focus for the history of fire fighting services in Victoria.
