Brighton's new contemporary Italian restaurant Aromi is an experience for all the senses. The name itself, Aromi, shows the deep connection to Italy's famous food culture based on aromatics with each region emphasising different herbs to enrich their local dishes. Chefs, business partners and friends Paolo Maciopinto and Salvatore Montella have created a farm to table menu, using the 'best-of-market' offers from their producers and creating classic dishes with a contemporary twist. Think scallops with potato and truffle, pumpkin tortelli with amaretti, ricotta and fruit mustard, or the fritto misto seafood platter. The bread is made in-house, as is the pasta, gnocchi, and many of the liqueurs. But you can't leave without trying their insanely rich Chestnut Monte Bianco, Paulo's contemporary take on Italian's favourite 'king of desserts'.
